Rebecca Whittemore is a finalist for the prestigious Australian award, Josephine Ulrick and Win Schubert Photography Award for 2012. The exhibition will be showing a piece from her new series, Dregs of Society.

Two Septics – A SALA Show

This year I will again be exhibiting during SALA, South Australian Living Arts, which is a festival where artists throughout the state exhibit artwork in traditional and non traditional spaces. I’m showing with fellow American artist, Rick Clise, at Scammell’s auction house. Rick will be showing pair of ‘All New’ large steel sculptures. For me this choice of location of this exhibition is especially relevant, since in my work I am reusing discarded materials, and be showing in an auction house, that is reselling items. The Private Universe series got back from the USA ealier this year and this will be the first time this new work will be show in here in Australia.
